Biker Chic

Getting back from Bike Week, I was re-inspired by the biker chic look that I secretly always admired. Who hasn't wanted to rock a biker jacket?  As, I spent last Saturday night finishing up painting my nails red, I couldn't help but think about what it would be like putting on some tight jeans, a fabulous big ring, big curls in my hair, and this jacket.

This jacket is being displayed at the Harley-Davidson Museum which has an exhibit called "Worn to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket." The "leather jacket" has been a staple to the American wardrobe for years. Designers Paul Gaultier and Gianni Versace have pieces contributing to the 100 different artifacts that will be displayed.

The black leather jacket means something different to everyone. For a fashionista like myself the leather jacket is not just for riding on the motorcycle that I don't own but as apart of the allure of portraying a different identity for a day. For those of us that don't ride bikes, the leather jacket outfit is like going to prom. An opportunity to wear something you fantasize about for a long time but needs the perfect occasion to be worn.

But fortunately, the biker jacket has evolved and is now apart of main stream fashion and over here at Sasha Fierce headquarters we love it.
