Cuckoo for Gaga

Lady Gaga is in Atlanta this week. I believe she will be doing a pair of shows. Actually, she is probably on stage performing as we speak. Due to financial restrictions, and my Z list credentials as a blogger, I was not asked to blog about the show but... there is one thing that I can blog about without being there and that is about Lady Gaga's sure fire stage fashion. We all now that there is no way Gaga is going to come out on stage without having some off the hook outfit that has you thinking twice. We know the hair is most likely going to be a surefire platinum blonde even though I must admit that I liked her with dark hair when she was on the underground circuit. But what we all know rule number 2 of going Hollywood. "Must have lighter hair."

The question that runs through my mind most of the time is..Can anyone else wear this outfit and get away with it?

Let's check out some samples:

Over here on the left, we have the infamous bubble dress. Now we all know that no one could have gotten away with wearing anything like this unless you were a fan of the movie "Bubble Boy," or it was Halloween in Atlanta. But of course she rocks out and we think it's crazy but we don't hate it.

Second, we have the BRIGHT BRIGHT BRIGHT colors. In 2009, we can't deny that the fashion industry was fond of bright especially bright blue hue's but this I must say I am not a fan of. Not even for Gaga. I love the materials and think they might make fun curtains but sometimes it goes too far and this is a perfect example. I just don't know if this is the right look even for an extreme left fashionista like Gaga. Everyone makes fashion mistakes and we forgave her and moved on.

This outfit covers two of Gaga's favorite trends. Lace and covering her face. I understand the concept of having lace everywhere. It's fabric that is not popular but secretly everyone wants to have some. I get it. I'm for it. But the covering the face element, well I'm going to stay neutral about it. All I'm going to say is that this is one of many outfits with her face covered. For some reason it makes me think of one's face being disfigured and I'm not sure why Gaga does it but if anyone knows please let me know. Thanks.

Now this is the glass slipper or perfect look for Gaga in my opinion. It's an outfit that is still very unique and wont' be worn by everyone. It's Gaga couture and it doesn't get any better than this. She looks good in black with her fair skin and drastic hair styles. The gold cubes attached give it that crazy feel but yet still not over the top. Gaga is appealing to the fashion crazed, music fanatics, and every day Americans who want to know who this A lister is with such a cool sense of style. This is high fashion for me and we loves it hear over at the Fierce headquarters. Maybe she's singing Poker Face for me right now which was my favorite Gaga song over two years ago when no one knew what I was singing.

On that same note, check out my favorite video of Lady Gaga with our girl B in the Video Phone music video. It's a great one and we love all the style in this one.
