So... I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. I'm up and of course I'm thinking about fashion. I don't think those of you who know me even realize how much I think about fashion. Well, I'm thinking maybe He might be the only one that realizes my obsession. I was thinking it might be helpful to write about it some more in the upcoming year. I have all these plans for major life style changes for 2010 than I might as well add recommit to my blog. I think for the first half of the year I'm going to share my fashion finds with you. Now, I realize that alot of this might be repeats for you but also realize that not everyone surfs through fashion websites and reads fashion magazines as much as I do. So to all three fans out there... let's try this out and let me know what you think. Love the support y'all.
So today we are going to talk about Vera Wang. Now.. I realized that not everyone knows who she is. Well she is an American born Chinese decent figure skater turned fashion designer. She has the same birthday as me (June 27) and is famous for her wedding gown collection. Other interesting facts about Wang, she turned to the fashion industry after she missed the the Olympic team in the late 1980's for figure skating. (She's even been on the cover of Sports Illustrated in the 1980's of course.) So she worked at Vogue for years and then was waiting her turn to be the Editor at Large but didn't get the job and it was passed down to Anna Wintour. She decided to move on to designing and it was probably the best decision she ever made.
So.. I'm a fan of her perfumes and mattress/bedding line which is not typical for most fashion designers but of course in today's day in age you always have to have an additional hustle...Branding yourself is a must.
Well... now that you have the background we can talk about a sneak peak into her Fall collection. As I mentioned earlier everyone knows Vera for her wedding gowns but since I'm not getting married, I'm going to point out some highlights...

First we love this very unusual but yet structured jacket over at SashaFierce headquarters. This look will be continued on from the spring and I love it. I think this look works for big or small women and it's always slimming in black. You can find this look in a variety of variations and different price tag levels.

This next look is a very SashaFierce look. Many of you don't love the new style of meshing the gold and silver but I must admit it's grown on me. And with wonderful dress that I would wear to a great New Year's party here in Atlanta, you don't have to worry about what kind of accessories to wear. You can go with gold or silver or both. As you all get a little better understanding of my style, you will build a hate love for my desired wardrobe. I'm not your traditional American loving Ralph Lauren polo type of girl.

In my next set of upcoming blogs, I decided to have a section dedicated for the famous Sasha Fierce. I know yes... I am famous to my three blog followers but the rest of the world is also following Beyonce aka as Sasha Fierce. Every post, we will try to pick out an outfit for her as if we were styling her. I'm willing to take request and suggestions of designers or items that you can see her in or recommend for her. I can see her in this outfit. She would love the uniqueness and the practically and ease of this outfit. Now maybe picking out her outfit every blog will be overkill but we could also dress other celebrities in our head. It's kinda of like the Wendy Williams "friend in her head." We are going to be celebrities stylist in our head.
Loves it.
Well that's it for now... Check back in to see what we will feature next.
Don't you all wish you had these outfits on your wish list. Maybe next year.
Sasha
