Jamie Lee...Friend to Sasha Fierce

We have been able to witness many transitions of this now... LA fashionista who we can also call a travelnista, Jamie Lee Principe. She hails from LA but her fashion transitioned from Long Island, NY to the suburbs of the University of Connecticut, Storrs campus back to the big city of New York, with a short stint in Florida outside of MIA and now calls Los Angeles her home. Not only has she evolved by traveling to get to her terminal educational degree of a Juris Doctorate but her fashion sense has been on a journey as well. She literately has lived in all the major high fashion points of interest in the U.S. and has even visited Milan recently. When we approached Jamie to do an interview she claimed she wasn't really into fashion and didn't have a favorite designer to talk about. We affirmed our friend that fashion is more than knowing designers and labels but simply how you put your own everyday look together which is an interpretation of the fashion guru's whole life.
She described her style as "age appropriate, classy versus trashy."

Sasha Fierce Headquarters checked in with Jamie and ended up taking a walk down memory lane of our 12 year relationship and certainly discussed the big Long Island hair, midriffs and wide legged pants and her disdain for big fashion labels. We certainly talked about her "Blossom" moments when she had short shorts and boots to be fierce in the 90's. If Sasha Fierce Headquarters (SFH) started back then.. I'm sure our readers would have been talking about Joey Lawrence's plaid shirts and Blossom's boots. We then discussed how our lives intersected in the atmosphere of a rural agricultural farm lands of Storrs, Connecticut and how one's fashion night out staple outfit was tight black pants with any shirt that showed how much cleavage you were working with. We were victims of this horrible trend as well but it was the uniform for hot girls at our local college bar, Huskies Bar and Grill.

We both moved to the south where we got to wear endless sundresses almost year round and enjoyed the breeze and ease of a sexy maxi dress. I'm sure Ms. Principe gets to rock it from time to time in her LA weather too.

But let's talk about where this sophisticated young lawyer is today with her fashion. She is doing GREAT! We give her two thumbs up Ebert and Roeper style over here at SFH. One thing we can say about Jamie is that her hair and nails have been on point since the day we met her. It's the most important aspect of pulling her looks together. She's always had the fly haircut and the perfectly manicured nails throughout all the phases of her fashion life.

Here is what she had to say about her looks:
Look 1- Our fashionista was at the Braxton Family Values Premiere rocking the classic LBD and a white blazer. It's the perfect outfit for a fabulous an event with A listers. The strappy black shoes are a bonus. The blazer adds flair and keeps the her conformable in the cool LA night air. It's the perfect party look with the edgy black shoes and clutch.

Look 2 - SFH and Ms. Lee are fans of the Chelsea Lately show and here Ms. Lee is at a comedy club with Chris Franjola one of the writers of show. She decided to check out a comedy club in LA one night and just hit it right with the casual chic look. She dressed up the look with cute red earrings and red lips.

Look 3 - This hot sexy number is one of my favorite looks. I love a nude shoe and a wrap dress is so conveniently sassy and flexible.

Look 4 - Here she is at the bar having a good old time with a embroidered t-shirt, the biker leather jacket and hot red pumps to dress up the comfortable but sexy legging look.

Look 5 - From the top of the Mondrain Hotel Sky Bar getting some drinks and loving the west coast.

Even though this fashionista doesn't like to shop she certainly can pull it together. And would certainly say "classy versus trashy."
